United Nations: Cartooning for Peace/my speech

The other day, I was looking around the web, and found a clip of the speech that I gave at The United Nations. This was a time following the initial events of the Danish Cartoon Controversy. I was invited to participate with other members of Cartooning for Peace, an organization founded by Jean Plantu, a French cartoonist. Cartooning for Peace is very active, and I feel very fortunate to participate when I can.

Speech is here (to hear what I had to say, click on my name on the UN page):

L to R: bottom: Jeff Danziger, Gado, Carsten Graabaek, Cintia Bolio, Baha Boukari, Kofi Annan, Ann Telnaes, Michel Kichka, No-Rio, Ranan Lurie, Holli Semtko. Top: unkown, Gerard Vandenbrouke, Liza Donnelly, Shashi Tharoor, Jean Plantu, unknown
Liza and Jean Plantu

Liza- just read the interview on the RB Community Forum which led me to your When Do they serve wine? and to the UN speech which I thought was fabulous!

What good work you are doing and that 9/11/ cartoon is perfect for the moment. Keep up the good work!
We need more sane voices everywhere- in print, on the net, in the world, as well as in our community. And we are fortunate to have found such a community- while no place is perfect, this HV is a pretty good spot to live and love. Thanks
