INKSPILL: check out Michael Maslin’s new website, michaelmaslin.com , it’s full of interesting things. Not just his work, but he has a page called “From The Attic” of historical items, books, etc from New Yorker history. He also has a section called “Inkspill”, where he lists cartoonists events and websites. This is a great resource for those of you interested in what cartoonists are doing and publishing. A good deal of what his lists is also historical in nature–like RC Harvey talking about Eustace Tilly.
Dear Mr.Maslin
Your cartoon , pg. 55, Aug.5,2013 showing a castle with a broken elevator and access via HAIR evoked a poetic response from me. I (age 94) live in a retirement home which had been having problems with the elevators. Poem follows:
From OTIS
This NOTIS:
“NO LIFT.
NO ROPE.
NO STAIR.
“USE HAIR.”
Unfortunately, I misplaced my copy of the cartoon and would like to obtain a copy . Can you suggest how I can locate a copy? Thanks for your help. Morris Roseman
