Fab, as usual. I’m sure the pres-elect would like this slim version of himself. He’s such a fat hater. Question – are you in the shadow of his hair or his person. In either case, brilliant. xo

I feel the looming shadow as portrayed in your cartoon.
I am intrigued by young people’s responses to this election and surrounding tumult. I am observing their difficulties in comprehending the degree of conflict over differences that has surfaced over the past year and a half. . Their ability to be conversant and active in their pursuit to breakdown racial bias and racism, xenophobia, gender difference fear, sexism, and climate change denial is passionate and effective. Breaking down barriers and creating understanding, healing, honest accountability and reconciliation are happening all over the country in schools, and churches and other public spaces. This is the next generation of scientists, journalists, teachers, artists, builders, designers, parents, politicians and public servants. Your cartoons that portray the world through a child’s eyes are quite spot on (as are all of your cartoons, by the way), and this might be an angle or jumping off place — hope.

Thank you! I’m in the shadow of his whole person. Which, as you suggest, is indeed not this slim. I drew this and liked the lines I first drew (even if a little inaccurate) so kept it as is. But you are right!
